As a result, preclinical toxicity screening methods for adverse cardiovascular, renal, hepatic, immunological and age-dependant effects have been receiving a lot of attention recently. However, testing guidelines and regulatory requirements can be vague, and somewhat lacking, as is evident in the case of neurotoxicity assessment.
